The new C&T rules begin January 1, 2026.
 
After January 1, 2026, you will need to take the C&T course or quiz before the end of your recertification cycle.

Some licensees will need to take new exams. You must still meet your regular recertification requirement.

Do you supervise unlicensed applicators using federal RUPs?


"Using" a federal restricted use pesticide includes mixing, loading, transporting, disposing of, and applying pesticides. Refer to RCW 17.21.020 for a full definition of "use" as in to "use a pesticide".

The C&T rule change includes additional requirements for this supervision which will be effective January 1, 2026.

October 2023 Began rule change process
