Finding a Local Processor
To find a Custom-Exempt butcher or on-farm slaughterer, see WSDA's published list of licensed Custom-Exempt meat processors. (Scroll to mid-page to "WSDA Current Licensed Firms" and click on the link to the regularly-updated excel spreadsheet for Custom Meat Operations.)
To find USDA-inspected facilities, you can always use the USDA-FSIS searchable map directory. However, not all USDA plants offer processing services to small, direct-marketing farms and ranches.
To our knowledge, the following are USDA-inspected slaughterhouses and processing facilities currently offering services to small farms in Washington:

- Burlington: Island Grown Farmers Coop
- Snohomish: Marzolf Meats
- Rochester: Puget Sound Processors (slaughter) + Heritage Meats (processing)
- Stanwood: Del Fox Meats
- Mt. Vernon: Jack Mountain Meats (value-added processing only, no slaughter)
