Certification Training for Veterinarians or Field Livestock Inspectors
- WSDA may certify veterinarians, who are licensed and accredited in Washington State and field livestock inspectors who comply with the requirements of WAC 16-610-060 to issue livestock inspection certificates. Veterinarians and field livestock inspectors may not perform livestock inspections for an individual or business if a conflict of interest exists.
- Veterinarians licensed and accredited in Washington State and field livestock inspectors who wish to issue inspection certificates for livestock must apply for certification on the department's application form and provide payment for the application ($60).
- All applicants applying for certification or renewal of certification must complete department provided training and pass a written test with no less than a score of 90 percent.
- If a test is failed, there is an opportunity to retake course and test according to program policy.

Reservations are required at least 2 weeks in advance so that training materials can be mailed to applicants before the training date.

WSDA will send out a meeting invitation and instructions via email once your application is processed. Training materials will be mailed to the address listed on the application prior to the training date.
