WSDA Announces Interactive Water Quality Map for Northern Counties

Easily accessible and timely water quality results displayed in interactive map.

OLYMPIA.  WSDA Dairy Nutrient Management Program has been receiving requests for access to water quality sampling data, and we have been listening.

We are pleased to announce that a new interactive water quality map that highlights recent water quality results is now available to the public. As part of a collaborative effort to identify and reduce fecal coliform levels that exceed state health standards, the Dairy Nutrient Management Program (DNMP) conducts water quality monitoring in Whatcom, Skagit and Snohomish counties.

By using source identification sampling we are able to locate and eliminate sources of bacterial pollution. Routine ambient monitoring by partner agencies helps characterize trends of water quality in priority areas. DNMP utilizes this information to concentrate efforts where sampling can identify potential discharge issues.

It should be noted that this map represents source identification sampling efforts that are typically conducted during storm events. This is not ambient data. For ambient data please consult your local County Public Works, Natural Resources webpages for detailed information.
