Selling Processed Products to Grantees

WSDA is making small changes to the WA-Grown Food Verification form and requirements for the 2025-2027 grant period. Check back here for updates.

For the 2023-2025 grant cycle, WSDA has changed the WA-grown requirement for processed products to encourage purchasing from small, value-added producers. Previously, processed products had to contain at least 51% WA-grown ingredients, by weight or volume, to qualify for reimbursement with grant funds. The new requirement states:

Processed or packaged foods with a primary ingredient that is 100% grown, raised, caught, or foraged in Washington State- where the primary ingredient is the largest ingredient by weight- the first ingredient on the ingredient list.

List Your Business on the Washington Food & Farm Finder

WSDA has partnered with Eat Local First to develop a new online wholesale directory to help make it easier for school food buyers to find local products and connect with farmers in their area.

Producers are not required to create a listing, however this platform is available to local producers for free if you would like to list your business here.

To create or update an existing listing, follow these steps:
  1. Login (for those who have already registered) to update your listing on the WA Food & Farm Finder Wholesale Product Finder
  2. If you have not previously registered, register your business here: https://eatlocalfirst.org/register
