Program Overview


The WSDA Rapid Response Program strives to accomplish a multi-point mission that includes:
 

 

 
  • Coordinating single and multi-jurisdicitonal product recalls with local, state, federal, and tribal public health partners.

Manufactured Food Regulatory Program Standards (MFRPS):

The Rapid Response Program also collaborates with the WSDA Food Safety Program in effort to continuously improve its program infrastructure through the implementation of the Manufactured Food Regulatory Program Standards (MFRPS). MFRPS is a set of ten national standards that focus on standardizing major operations pertaining to a State food regulatory program.

Washington Food Protection Task Force (FPTF)

The Rapid Response Program also coordinates the Washington State Food Protection Task Force (FPTF). The FPTF is a cooperative association of food regulatory entities in Washington State that routinely meet to address current food protection issues in Washington State.
