Social Media Comment Policy

We welcome comments and encourage respectful conversations on WSDA’s social media platforms. Persons who post or comment are solely responsible for the content of their posts and comments, including, but not limited to any claims of copyright infringement or libel resulting from the posted content. Posts and comments contributed by members of the public are their own and do not express the official policy or position of WSDA. WSDA makes no representations as to the accuracy or validity of information posted by anyone other than an official WSDA representative.

Comments should be on-topic, respectful and civil. We reserve the right to remove any comments if they contain:
  • Violent, obscene, vulgar, profane (including alternate spelling of profane words), or threatening or harassing language or personal attacks.
  • Commercial promotion.
  • Political statements such as comments that endorse, support, or oppose political candidates for federal, state, or local office or ballot propositions or attempt to influence the passage or defeat of any legislation.
  • Illegal activity.
  • Protected personal or private information.
  • Duplicative/repetitive posts.
  • “Off-topic” comments.
Comments made will in no way constitute a legal or official notice or comment to WSDA. For example, a post or comment related to a proposed rule will not be considered a formal public comment. Please submit your formal comments directly to the relevant project or program or visit the WSDA rulemaking page.

For public disclosure requests, contact the WSDA Public Disclosure Office.

Posts and comments are public records and we may be required to disclose them, as well as your name and email address or other information you share with us, if requested.
