The mission of the pest program is to protect the agriculture, environment and natural resources of Washington State by preventing the introduction and spread of high risk invasive insects, terrestrial snails, plant diseases and noxious weeds. Each year, the Pest Program administers over twenty invasive species programs covering approximately 90 to 100 invasive species. At the end of the year, each program produces annual summary reports covering the detection, eradication and certification activities of the season.
