WSDA's Policy Team is the coordinating point the agency's interaction with the Washington State Legislature. Responsibilities include overseeing the preparation and internal review of all budget decision packages, agency-request legislation, and legislative reports provided to the Legislature. The team works in partnership with WSDA programs to develop, advocate, implement, and respond to legislative initiatives.
The Policy Team directly supports WSDA's viability and vitality of agriculture by providing legislative and policy expertise to advocate for agency priorities to stakeholders, legislature, and the Governor's Office.
