Organic Input Material Registration
  What is the purpose of this certification?
To verify that input materials manufactured/distributed by the operation are allowed for use in organic production.
  What activities require this license and who needs to get it?
The certificate is not required to sell organic input materials. Manufacturers making organic compliant products may seek voluntary registration in order to use WSDA material logo and have their product included on the WSDA Organic Input Material List.
  How do I apply?
The new application can be found online at: agr.wa.gov/departments/organic/input-material-registration or you may contact the WSDA Organic Program to have an application sent to you.
  How much will it cost?
Fees are assessed on a per product basis.
- $500 new applictation for each pesticide, spray adjuvant, processing aid, post harvest material, and/or livestock production aid.
- $400 new application for fertilizer, soil amendment, and/or crop production aid.
  Do I need to include anything with my application?
All required forms are outlined in the new application packet which can be found online at: agr.wa.gov/departments/organic/input-material-registration
  Is the decision to approve dependent on anything besides the information in my application?
No
  When will I receive my certification?
The registration process typically takes 90 - 120 days. This timeline will be influenced by the completeness of the application and timeliness of any responses to requests for clarifying information.
  How long is it valid?
Registrations are valid until October 31 of the current registration year.
