Changing Company Name

What if we want to change our company name?

Changing a fertilizer company name in Washington will result in submitting a new company application and registering the products as new products.  Minor changes to a company name such as changing “LLC.” to “INC.” do not require new registrations.  As long as there are products in the channels of trade under the old company name, the old registration must be maintained and renewed until those products are no longer in distribution in the state of Washington.

What if we want to change our product name or guaranteed analysis?
 

All fertilizer products with a change in their name or guaranteed analysis will require registration as a new product.  If there are products in the channels of trade under the old label, that registration will need to be maintained until they are no longer in the marketplace. WSDA does not allow two products with the same name and grade to be registered at one time.  If you wish to retain the current product name, it will be necessary to cancel the originally registered product.
