WA Grown Food Kit For Milk and Dairy

What do you need today?

Cheese comes in many different varieties but all start with just four ingredients: milk, salt, good bacteria and an enzyme called rennet. Cheese provides high quality protein that supports bone health, and provides a protein called casein which strengthens tooth enamel to help prevent cavities. There are over 300 family-
owned dairy farms in Washington that produce the milk used to make dairy products such as cheese. Dairy farms can be found all across Washington State thanks to the moderate climate that offers supreme comfort for cows.

Together, low-fat and fat free milk, cheese, and yogurt provide a unique package of nine essential nutrients including calcium, potassium, phosphorus, protein, vitamins A, D and B12, riboflavin, and niacin (niacin equivalents). Source: Washington State Dairy Council
