Weighmaster/Weigher License
  What is the purpose of this license?
To promote marketplace equity in commercial transactions, provide safeguards for the consuming public and ensuring businesses receive proper compensation for the commodities they deliver.
  What activities require this license and who needs to get it?
Any business who issues a certified weight ticket.
  How do I apply?
Applications can be submitted online using our PISCES registration system or by paper form using our fillable and printable Application for Weighmaster/Weigher License.
  How much will it cost?
The weighmaster license consists of an annual $80 license fee, $20 per weigher fee, and a one time $60 new purchase or replacement impression seal. A 50% late renewal penalty of the annual license fee will be charged if renewal is received after June 30th of each year.
  Do I need to include anything with my application?
Payment, proof of scale test within last twelve months and a copy of a certified weight ticket with seal impression are required with application.
  Is the decision to approve my license dependent on anything besides the information in my application?
Applicants who previously violated any of the provisions of chapter 15.80 RCW will not be issued a license.
  When will I receive my license?
Customers will receive their license within two weeks if application is complete. Licenses may take up to 45 days if application is incomplete.
  How long is it valid?
The license period for a weighmaster is July 1 through June 30 of each year.

  What is the appeal process?
You have the right to appeal the decision in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act, chapter 34.05 RCW.
