Restricted Holding Facility License
  What is the purpose of this license?
The purpose is to allow imported animals to enter into a designated area that is isolated from all other non-restricted areas within a feedlot.
  What activities require this license and who needs to get it?
This allows producers to import feeder cattle from out of state without meeting import requirements. These cattle must go to the restricted feedlot and stay in slaughter channels. These cattle require an entry permit prior to entry.

You apply by completing an application form located at: Animal Health Forms, Permits and Licenses.
  Do I need to include anything with my application?
Yes, the license fee and a complete drawing of the facility.
  Is the decision to approve my license dependent on anything besides the information in my application?
Yes, a satisfactory site inspection of the area must be completed.
  How much will it cost?
$200.00 Initial application

  When will I receive my license?
The license is issued within 15 business days upon payment of initial application fee and a satisfactory site inspection of the area designated for the facility.
  How long is it valid?
The license is valid for one calendar year, July 1 through June 30.

Chapter 16-30 WAC and Chapter 16.36 RCW
  What is the appeal process?
Upon notice by the Department to deny, revoke, or suspend a license, a person may request a hearing under this chapter 34.05 RCW the Administrative Procedures Act.
