Rendering Plant License
  What is the purpose of this license?
The purpose is to regulate the disposal of dead animals by rendering for meat and bone meal for animal feed, additives and cosmetics.
  What activities require this license and who needs to get it?
Facilities licensed under the United States Department of Agriculture-Food Safety Inspection Services that receive dead animals for processing must obtain a Rendering Plant License.

You need to include the license fee.
  Is the decision to approve my license dependent on anything besides the information in my application?
Yes, your facility must pass a site inspection.
  When will I receive my license?
The license will be issued within 30 days of all requirements being met.
  How long is it valid?
The license is valid for one calendar year, July 1 through June 30.

RCW 16.36.010 RCW 16.36.092, and USDA-FSIS Title 21 Chapter 12
  What is the appeal process?
Upon notice by the Department to deny, revoke, or suspend a license, a person may request a hearing under chapter 34.05 RCW, the Administrative Procedures Act.
