  What is the purpose of this permit?
This allows semen from stallions to be imported into Washington after meeting import testing requirements.
  What activities require this permit and who needs to get it?
Persons who want to import semen from out of the state to artificially inseminate their mares.

You apply by completing an application form located at: Animal Health Forms, Permits and Licenses.
  How much will it cost?
No cost for this permit.
  Do I need to include anything with my application?
A negative Equine Infectious Anemia (EIA or Coggins) test.
  Is the decision to issue a permit dependent on anything besides the information in my application?
Positive test results may stop a permit from being issued.
  When will I receive my permit?
The average response time, based on 2017 data, is 24 hours after receipt of a complete application and all required testing is completed.
  How long is my permit valid?
The permit is valid for 12 months.
