Many moth species are regularly captured in traps baited with lures targeting other species of moths. In fact, the vast majority of traps in domestic pest surveys capture only innocuous non-target species. This list presents species captured in traps baited with various lures for exotic pests of concern in North America. Not all of these species are actually attracted to the lure, but at least blunder into the trap frequently enough to be of interest to a person screening the traps. Pheromone lures are indicated in red, and non-target moths collected with those lures are listed below.
