For more information call (360) 902-1976.

New Export Advising and Business Meeting Opportunity

The International Marketing Program within the Department of Agriculture will be hosting one-on-one consultations with our overseas representatives in April 2012. These sessions will allow you to sit down with and ask one of our four in-market experts specific questions about exporting your products to China, Taiwan, Japan and Mexico. Following these consultations, there will be four inbound trade delegations with qualified buyers from each of the markets in August 2012. For more information see the informational flyer [PDF 486 kB]. If you are interested in participating in these events, complete the application form [PDF 602 kB], print, sign, scan and email it by February 17, 2012 to Cameron Crump at ccrump@agr.wa.gov or fax it to 360-902-2089.

Helping Washington companies to export food and agriculture products around the world

The International Marketing Program works closely with Washington State's food and agricultural companies to help them export their products.  By providing companies with promotional support, market information and access to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) market assistance programs, we help them to find buyers for their products.

Our services include:

WSDA's trade specialists in Olympia (Washington's capitol) Yakima (the center of the eastern Washington farming region) and Kennewick, directly assist individual companies and work with industry organizations.  We also have contract representatives in Japan, Taiwan, and in China who are experts in the export and marketing of food products in those markets.

The WSDA International Marketing Program consists of five staff with an industry advisory committee of agriculture and food export leaders.  They advise the program, review its goals and strategies, and assure that it is addressing the priorities of our exporters.  To learn more about WSDA's International Marketing Program, see the Annual Report [PDF 3.32 MB] for fiscal year 2011.
