Kent (King County)

The Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) treated a 25-acre site in Kent in the spring of 2007. During the 2006 survey season, WSDA trapped a total of 43 gypsy moths at the Kent site. Gypsy moth egg masses were also found indicating the presence of a reproducing population. Approximate boundaries of the treatment site are Willis St. on the south; Highway 167 (West Valley Freeway) on the east; an east-west line about 200 feet south of Meeker St. on the north; and the west side of the K-Mart parking lot on the west.
