Puyallup (Pierce County) - 2011The Washington State Department of Agriculture completed treatment of the following 29-acre site in Puyallup in the spring of 2011 as a result of catching seven gypsy moths in the area in the summer of 2010. Egg masses were also found in 2010 indicating a reproducing population was present.
Kent (King County) - 2007The Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) completed treatment of the following 25-acre site in Kent in the spring of 2007 as a result of catching 43 gypsy moths in the area in the summer of 2006. Egg masses were also found indicating the presence of a reproducing population.
Madison (Seattle) - 2006The Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) completed treatment of the following 100-acre site in the Madison area of Seattle in the spring of 2006 as a result of catching 5 gypsy moths in the area in the summer of 2005, and multiple catches in the past 3 years.
Rosemont (Bellevue) - 2006
The Washington
State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) completed treatment of the following
5.5-acre site in the Rosemont neighborhood of Bellevue in the spring of 2006
as a result of catching 2 gypsy
moths in the area in the summer of 2005.
Pupal cases were also found at Rosemont indicating a reproducing
population was present in the area.
Eastlake (Seattle) - 2005
The Washington
State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) completed treatment of the following
12-acre site in Eastlake in the spring of 2005 as a result of catching 5
gypsy moths in the area in the summer of 2004.
Egg masses were also found at Eastlake indicating a reproducing
population was present in the area.
Evergreen Ridge (Kitsap County) - 2005
WSDA completed
treatment of the following 200-acre site in the Evergreen Ridge community in
the spring of 2005 as a result of catching 20 gypsy moths in the area in the
summer of 2004. |
