Beekeeping Information

During the spring, thousands of colonies of honey bees are used to pollinate tree fruits.  WSDA provides pesticide applicators with information on preventing bee poisonings, works with pesticide manufacturers to include pollinator protection statements on their pesticide labels, and enforces legal requirements for protecting these valuable insects.  To report a pesticide bee kill, contact the Pesticide Compliance Program.
