Information for Insurance and Bonding Agents

Commercial Applicators must meet the financial coverage requirements found in RCW 17.21.160 and .170 of the Washington Pesticide Application Act. The two options for coverage include a liability insurance policy or surety bond in the amount of no less that $50,000 for property damage and public liability, separately.

Evidence of the required financial coverage must be submitted to the Pesticide Licensing Program before a new license can be issued or, in the case of an existing license, prior to expiration of the previous policy or bond. Use the Financial Responsibility Insurance Certificate or the Surety Bond form to report coverage.  The form may be submitted via email, fax (360.902.2093) or mail (PO Box 42560, Olympia WA 98504).

If evidence of financial coverage is not submitted to WSDA prior to the expiration date of the policy or bond, WSDA will begin license suspension procedures against the Commercial Applicator.
