As of March 1, 1999, all parts of the rule are in effect. Portions of the rule were updated December 18, 2000. These rules establish the requirements for which containment is required for fertilizers. In January, 2001, The Office of Solid Waste and Emergency Response of the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency issued an informative report on failed fertilizer storage tanks which included history of accidents, hazard awareness and prevention, and information resources. |
