On December 28, 2011, the agency adopted amendments to chapter 16-662 WAC that adopt:

1. the 2011 edition of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Handbook 44 (Specifications, Tolerances, and Other Technical Requirements for Weighing and Measuring Devices) as required by RCW 19.94.195;
2. the 2011 edition of NIST Handbook 133 (Checking the Net Contents of Packaged Goods); and
3. modifications to increase rule clarity and readability.

Adoption Date: December 28, 2011  Effective Date: January 28, 2012
