Organic Certification Information

The WSDA Organic Food Program has put together reference material to assist applicants with the organic certification process.  The WSDA Rules and Regulations Book contains the USDA National Organic Standards, WSDA Organic Standards and Regulations, and WSDA Organic Certification Fee Information.  The WSDA Guide to Organic Certification provides answers to frequently asked questions about certification, and provides details and references about organic production and handling requirements.

Organic Producer (Grower) Application Information

The WSDA Organic Food Program's mission is to protect consumers and support the development of the organic industry by ensuring the integrity of organic products. The Organic Food Program (OFP) certifies organic producers. A producer is any person or organization who or which grows, raises or produces an agricultural product. Renewal Certification Packet- Crop Producer

Annual certification renewal is a requirement under the National Organic Standards. Failure to renew, or to notify our office of your wish to withdraw from certification, may result in a compliance action in addition to late fees. To avoid a $100 per month late fee, complete the packet and mail the forms along with your annual fee to our office before February 1, 2010 deadline.
