Certified Veterinarians
for the State of Washington

To better serve the livestock industry, the 1998 Legislature gave the Washington State Department of Agriculture authority to certify veterinarians to issue livestock brand inspection certificates in conjunction with health certificates.  

The Livestock Brand Inspection Program administers this program and upon certification, veterinarians may perform ownership inspections of cattle and horses when they are sold or will be transported out of state.
