The mission of the Animal Identification Program is to:

Assist in the containment of animal diseases in Washington State

Educate the Washington State livestock industry to improve voluntary participation of state and
national animal identification systems
The WSDA Animal ID Program is responsible for:

Educating livestock producers about the Washington State Animal
Identification System (WSAIS) and the National Animal Identification
System (NAIS)

Collecting voluntary livestock location and producer contact information
for WSAIS and NAIS

Track Canadian cattle movements in Washington
