Fruit & Vegetable Inspection

Provides inspection services to the fresh produce and processing industry to ensure orderly marketing of fruits and vegetables. Commodities inspected include, but are not limited to, apples, pears, cherries, peaches, asparagus, and potatoes.

Grain Inspection

Provides official inspection, sampling and weighing of grain, dry peas, dry beans, lentils, rapeseed, and similar commodities produced in Washington or shipped through Washington ports from other states.

Grain Warehouse Audit

Audits warehouses with uniform grain storage agreements through Commodity Credit Corporation. Bonds, licenses, audits and physically inventories bonded public agricultural commodity warehouses and terminals.

Seed Inspection/Certification

Inspects seed fields for insects or disease; inspects and tests seed for purity and germination; issues phytosanitary export certificates; licenses seed dealers; issues labeling permits.
