The WSDA Animal Health Program is dedicated to the protection, promotion and enhancement of animal health, wellness and well being by working within the state, nationally and internationally to minimize the exposure of the people of Washington State and their animals to harmful animal diseases.  Oversees livestock and poultry disease control, issues interstate health certificates, issues permits and regulates restricted feed lots and rendering plants.

Livestock Identification

The Livestock Identification Program records brands and monitors the movement of livestock through inspections and documentation to establish the right of ownership and possession.  Records and inspects livestock brands; licenses certified feed lots and public livestock markets.
