Legislative Affairs

Legislative Affairs is the coordinating point for WSDA's interaction with the Legislature. This office oversees the development of all agency-request legislation (information below), budget proposals and reports provided to the Legislature.

Agency-Request Legislation

A legislative proposal must be approved by the Governor to be offered as agency-request legislation. Typically, WSDA and other agencies submit proposals to the Governor's Office in early fall and are notified of approved proposals by the end of November.

  • 2011SSB 5072 — Authorizes WSDA to accept, expend, and retain gifts, grants, bequests, or other contributions. Signed into law.  Chapter 225. Effective Date: July 22, 2011.
